Scrooms Chimes & selling guide

Make your sale choices deliberately before spending your early currency.

How to sell a catch

The published opening walkthrough directs players to Julian’s wooden stall after their first catch. His selling interface offers Sell Held and Sell Inventory, followed by a sale quote.

  1. Check your active quest before selecting catches to sell. Keep anything it explicitly requests.
  2. Talk to Julian at the stall and choose the scope of your sale.
  3. Read the quoted amount and which items the choice includes.
  4. Confirm only when the quote and included catches match your intention.

Use the beginner route if you have not yet reached this tutorial step.

Sell Held or Sell Inventory?

ChoiceWhen to consider itCheck before confirming
Sell HeldYou want a limited sale of the catch you are holding. The selected catch is the intended one, and it is not needed by your quest.
Sell InventoryYou intend to sell the inventory covered by the shop’s action.Read the UI carefully. Do not assume a valuable or quest-related catch will be automatically protected.

Always use the current confirmation screen. This guide does not claim a buyback feature or a way to reverse an accidental sale.

Plan an early instrument purchase

Read both the shop quote and item stats before buying. Published articles give conflicting Tamer’s Guitar prices, so use the current game price rather than budgeting from a fixed number here.

After a purchase, open the Equipment Bag and equip the instrument. Buying an item does not necessarily make it your active tool. Close the bag and resume the quest conversation if the tutorial asks for it.

The instrument comparison guide explains how to compare items around the stage you find difficult.

Build a repeatable collection routine

For a simple session plan, start with catches you can control, check your quest requirements, review your sale, then decide whether the next purchase addresses a real problem. This is an editorial workflow, not a measured best farming route.

We do not have verified sale tables, hourly income tests or spawn-rate data. A claim of guaranteed Chimes per hour would depend on catching skill, item availability and the current update. Use the catch troubleshooting guide to improve the part you can control.
